Went back and forth on it, was gonna pass but Chael Sonnen picked Poirier, so Mcgregor it is...
Would have faded him for more, but he is not that sure. (those seem to be the best bets)

He also picked Thompson

Havent decided whether I put a play on Burns yet

Not sure why he went for the choke.

His best chance was to stay on his feet and box. :)!/

outside of Connor himself - has anyone ever been finished via guillotine in the last decade? Every time someone falls back with this choke in - it’s last 10 secs and then they are in their back eating elbows and hammers - it would
work on me - like every time - not so much on any high level grappler

Where it would work best is at bigger weight classes but those guys just go to the ground so infrequently nowadays. If you got 205 to 250 pound dudes then you can really crank it.

Lower weight classes just seems like a desperation move at that point though

Almost 1 in 5 UFC fights that end in submissions are from a guillotine choke.

It’s actually more popular and effective in the lower weight classes.

I'm talking standing position - and falling to ur back - that almost always results in eating ground and pound

You mean textbook pull guard to finish a guillotine? About the only time you should ever pull guard, even though it is a neutral position. Yea, it happens a good bit.

But yes, this time. it was a desperation move simply because Conor knew he was fucked because Poirier is the better fighter, and he always will be...
